Weather : Rainy and Gloomy
I
had a very bad headache a day before and was still hesitating whether I
should go for the party or not... I just couldn't make up my mind and
concerned about my health at the same time.
I
finished my work at around 7pm and watched a scary movie with Silas (my
co-worker and a good friend of mine) and left the work place around
8pm...
It was drizzling and I
was waiting for a taxi for a while... managed to stop a few taxi but
they would not want to go where I wanted... All they could say was it's
too TRAFFIC!!! they didn't want to go through the jam and waste their
time and fuel. Well,OKAY! I understood but how was I supposed to get
there then?
After ditched by a
few of them, I decided to take a public transport but we all know that
public transport would consume more time and I wasn't sure whether I
could get there in time or not.
Me
being very indecisive for about an hour, there was a taxi!!!! WOOHOO!!! I
told myself that this time, if he/she doesn't want to go.. I would just
tell him/her to go to LRT station!
"Hello, could you go to Sunway Pyramid?, that's where the party was supposed be...
"Hm... I don't want to go there by meter, is that okay? It's very traffic on the way there... How much do you usually pay?"
HA! very tricky question! but I didn't have any idea how much it would cost... so I just decided to be frank about it.
"Sorry, it's my first time going there.. how much would you charge to get there?"
"25 ringgit.... "
"Hm.. okay.." I HAD NO CHOICE!!! he would go there and I didn't have to take public transport!
Even though I felt that it was costly but I double checked my wallet and sighed... hew....
"It's very traffic you know..."
"Yeah.. I had a hard time to get a taxi. Thank you so much! No one wouldn't want to go there just now..."
"Of course, it's raining some more. Drivers know the route and they wouldn't want it..."
I was thinking.. then why did you say 'YES' to go there ???
There was silence for a while and began conversation with him again.
"I
just wanna to tell ya for information that it would be very traffic at
around toll area and after that a few more jam then it would be fine.
Today is Friday, people want to go out and have fun."
"Yeah..." I didn't know what else to add.
"Oh! you are going there for party, too! hahahaha"
We
had a long talk withing 10-15mins then I recognized his voice... I know
this voice... it sounds very familiar.. Where was it...
"Miss, where do you stay?"
Since, he didn't seem like a person who would harm me and I answered his question.
"Oh! You are the Korean girl!"
Freaky... but wow!! he remembers!
"Wow! you remember where I am from? I was wondering as well, because your voice sounded very familiar to me!"
"Of
course I remember! It was during Ramadan month, I was wondering where I
saw you.. You changed your hair style! that's why...!!!"
"Hahaha...."
"I
am just a part-time taxi driver. I driver my boss's company car and
only after my work, I take a taxi and drive. You know sometimes, you
would want to work during weekend as well, right? Well, it's another way
of making money... hahaha"
"Yes... it is..."
Then,
I noticed that the meter was on... from there on, I couldn't stop
looking at the meter and kinda worried if the meter rates higher than
the price he asked.
"25, right?"
"Yes.. don't worry."
On the way there, there were a few break down and accident which caused more jam on road.
It almost took an hour to get to my destination.
The taxi rate wasn't high and I payed a reasonable price.
"Thank you and take care!"
Though it was a long journey, I didn't feel exhausted or annoyed by the jam.
I was truly grateful for him and his kindness for sharing his experience and for his GOOD memory!!
